Downtown Nashville’s Celebrity-Owned Bars + Restaurants
When you come to Nashville, you have spend some time downtown! My family and I often frequent Nashville and we make a point to bar hop at least one night each trip because it is such a fun time. Our last trip was especially exciting because a few new bars had opened up since we last visited, and they were built by some of our favorite country singers! Here is a list of the downtown Nashville bars/restaurants that are owned by famous musicians!
Jason Aldean – Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar
I just had to start with my favorite! Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar has to be the newest bar in Downtown Nashville, opening in June of 2018. This restaurant has 3 floors, all of which I recommend seeing! The first floor is where you check in to be seated for lunch/dinner, and there is also a bar in the center of the room. They have live music playing in the evening. The second floor includes a cute gift shop. The third floor – my favorite! – includes a large bar, a dance floor next to another stage where bands play live, and a rooftop area! Jason Aldean’s rooftop has one of the best views of Downtown Nashville. I highly recommend eating here; we had to wait 45 minutes, which flew by because we waited at the rooftop bar. We received a text when our table was ready!
Florida Georgia Line’s FGL House
FGL is one of the newest restaurants/bars in Downtown Nashville, opening in 2017. It has 4 levels, the top being my favorite. It includes a large dance floor right next to the stage where live music is played, as well as the largest rooftop in Nashville! FGL House is right off of the main street in Downtown Nashville (Broadway), and is a very short walk from Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean’s bars.
Dierks Bentley – Dierks Whiskey Row
Dierks Bentley was my least favorite famous musician bar, if not my least favorite bar in general! It doesn’t have a good layout; when it is packed you have to fight you way to the 1st floor bar like a salmon swimming upstream. We didn’t get a chance to check out the other floor or try the food, but some people say it’s good! When we came there was a band playing just about everything but country music; that’s okay for some, but we came to Nashville to listen to some country music!
John Rich – Redneck Riviera
If you’re looking for a smaller, simpler bar with the basics (beer and good music), Redneck Riveria might be your place! There’s a live band playing on the first floor right when you walk into the bar, though it is very small. If it’s a little too crowded for your liking, take the stairs to the rooftop! You’ll find a bar and another live band playing. I really enjoyed it because you had fresh air and live music in a relaxing setting. They have tables and seating on the rooftop as well as games like Jenga. Redneck Riviera is a great, chill bar in downtown Nashville!
Luke Bryan – Luke’s 32 Bridge
Luke Bryan’s restaurant and bar, Luke’s 32 Bridge, is right next to Jason Aldean’s. Luke Bryan’s has to be one of the largest restaurant and bars in the downtown area! The first floor consists of a live band and a bar, as well as seating. The biggest negative is the first floor is small/narrow; after the tables and chairs are filled there is not a lot of standing room because you need to leave space for people walking between the band and the seating to get to the stairs to the other floors. You think they could have figured out a better setup!
If you take the stairs you’ll find one of the floors has a large dance floor, and another floor had a live band and the rooftop area. This rooftop area has a beautiful view of downtown Nashville and connects to the rooftop of Jason Aldean’s restaurant. Apparently there are six floors but I didn’t see them all! It’s a massive bar and restaurant with some cool features, but nothing can beat Jason Aldean’s!
Blake Shelton’s Ole Red
Named after his 2002 hit, Blake Shelton’s Ole Red bar is a must-visit! I love that it is a simpler bar, especially compared to the newer, larger Luke’s 32 Bridge. Ole Red has several floors, the best being the first and second floors. Both floors have seating for the restaurant and a bar as well. The live band is on a large stage on the first floor; I recommend being on the first floor if you want to dance, as you can do so right in front of the stage! If you are looking for a good view of the band, the second floor is a great option too. The second floor has a large balcony that sits right above the stage, giving you a fantastic view of the band!
There are a lot of bars in Nashville and you most likely won’t have time to visit every one. I recommend doing your research to see which bars/restaurants fit your style because each one is different. You are going to have a great time no matter what because you’re in Nashville, country music city!
