10 Best Disney World Snacks

Before my trip I was searching all over the internet for pictures of treats that I could try at Disney World.  And if you’re reading this, you must be doing the same!  I put together a list of our 10 favorite snacks that we had on our trip, including a mix of sweet and salty!

Epcot

Of course, Epcot contained most of our favorite snacks, as well as drinks!  The following snacks were our favorite at Epcot:

1. Candied Peanuts with Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge Ice Cream

We shared a single scoop of Candied Peanuts with Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge so we could have room for a lot more snacks!

L’Artisan des Glaces is located in Epcot France.  Their menu includes ice cream and sorbet;  one scoop will cost you under $5 and a double scoop will cost you under $8.  They also sell “Artisan’s Specials” like macarons and iced cappuccinos.

2. Cookies n’ Cream Funnel Cake

I’d like to say that I am a funnel cake connoisseur (only because that sounds a lot better than saying I eat a lot of funnel cake, which are pretty much plates of fried dough).  Every time I wanted a funnel cake we were at a park that didn’t have any, or were at a park early and they weren’t open yet.  We finally gave in and actually waited for the Funnel Cake Booth in the USA section of Epcot to open at 11am when we were planning to leave the park at 10am!

Any funnel cake you choose is a great choice, but I went ahead and got a combination that I’ve never seen before….Cookies n’ Cream!  The Cookies n’ Cream funnel cake includes powdered sugar, vanilla ice cream, crushed Oreos and chocolate sauce.  It cost $11.50 but was so worth it!  Just make sure to grab some forks and a lot of napkins!

3. Butter and Sugar Crepe

Unlike the funnel cake….I like my crepes to be simple!  Crepes des Chefs de France in Epcot’s France has a few of your typical toppings (chocolate, Nutella, strawberry preserve.) but we opted for a butter and sugar crepe.  They also have soft service ice cream espresso and a beer option available! It has a very simple menu, but there are good options for a light treat….well, “light” by Disney World standards!

4. Viking Dog

Alright, now I definitely wouldn’t usually consider this a snack.  But it wasn’t a sit down restaurant, and by Brian’s standards it IS a snack!

For $11.75 you can order a Viking Dog at Midnattssol Bakeri!  A Viking Dog is a 1-pound, all-beef hot dog served with pulled pork, purple cabbage, spicy mayonnaise, bacon and fried onions.  If you’re going to Disney World with someone who needs a snack with more substance and less sugar than a crepe or a scoop of ice cream, a Viking Dog is a great option!

Please note that Viking Dogs are not available until after 12pm!

Magic Kingdom

5. Cheshire Cat Tail

   

We got to Magic Kingdom really early for Early Magic Hours so we could ride 7 Dwarves Mine Train without waiting all day!  After riding we has a little bit of time until our first FastPass of the day, so we stopped by the Cheshire Café close by!  It is located next to the Teacups ride.  The line goes by quickly because the Cheshire Cat Tail is the only food item they sell, along with beverages like coffee, orange juice and water.

The Cheshire Cat Tail is like a chocolate croissant (but a braid) with a sugary drizzle on top.  Not only is the Cheshire Cat Tail an amazing snack, but it is practically a breakfast item…by Disney World standards at least!  For $4.99, this snack is a must-try!

6. (Dole Whip) Pineapple Float

If you’re looking for a light, refreshing treat under $6, head to Aloha Isle Refreshments in Adventureland!  We ordered the Pineapple Float, which includes Dole pineapple juice with pineapple dole whip on top.

Their other menu items include: A cup of pineapple Dole whip, a pineapple upside down cake with pineapple Dole whip on top, and Dole pineapple juice.

7. Large Mickey Chocolate Chip Cookie

At Main Street Confectionary, you can’t go wrong!  They have caramel apples, rice krispy treats, cookies, cupcakes, and so much more!  My most favorite treat I purchased at this shop on Main Street was the Large Mickey Chocolate Chip Cookie.  You can find it in the glass case along with an assortment of other cookies, cupcakes and fudge, as they are not pre-packaged like the cotton candy and caramel apples on the shelves within the store.  This cookie cost $5.49 and was worth every bite!

Animal Kingdom

8. French Fries with Pulled Pork and Cheese

Flame Tree Barbecue is the most popular quick service restaurants in Animal Kingdom, for a good reason!  We got the French Fries with Pulled Pork and Cheese.  I know what you’re thinking…yes, this is an actual snack!  At $6.79 this is a great snack choice!

9. Night Blossom

Once you step off Flight of Passage and navigate your way through the gift shop, Pongu Pongu will be on your left.  This quick service restaurant serves two snacks and a handful of drinks, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

We ordered the Night Blossom, which inludes layers of apple and desert pear limeade, topped with passion fruit boba balls.  This drink is $5.99, but you can purchase it with a souvenir Pongu Mug with a “glowing unadelta seed”!

Hollywood Studios

10. Butterfinger Cupcake

We were a little disappointed at the lack of snacks we could find at Hollywood Studios.  But, Brian has one Hollywood Studios treat on his list that he wanted to try!

We found the Butterfinger Cupcake at the Trolley Car Café, which is a Disney Starbucks.  You can find the cupcakes once you enter the door where all of the other pastries are located.  The name of this cupcake speaks for itself, and it was delicious!
